Conference Updates
Special Message from NC NENA President
Although North Carolina did not get a direct hit from Hurricane Irma, several Counties and Cities across the State did receive damaging winds and flooding. Earlier this morning, it was reported that 75,000 customers were without power with 68,000 still remaining. There were reports of trees down and creeks and rivers rising in several Western Counties. With that being said, we at NCNENA are confident that our collaborative decision with NCAPCO, to reschedule the Public Safety Conference was the responsible thing to do. We are in the business of “safety first” and that goes for our Telecommunicators, vendors and 911 professionals alike. We are committed to making our rescheduled October 1st conference an enjoyable and educational filled event with minimal changes from the original schedule. I look forward to seeing all of you in Cherokee October 1st through the 4th and pray that Hurricane Jose stays in the Atlantic and far away from the U.S. Lisa Reid, ENP |
